Eigg is reached by passenger ferry from Mallaig (year round with Caledonian MacBrayne) or Arisaig (summer only with Arisaig Marine).Make sure to check Caledonian Macbrayne or Arisaig Marine ferry timetables and connecting Train Times before booking your stay on Eigg.Please note it is not possible to bring your car to Eigg so be prepared to leave your car in Mallaig or Arisaig. The train station in Mallaig is just a few hundred metres from the ferry whilst the Arisaig train station is 3/4 mile up the hill from the jetty.When you arrive on Eigg, the Glebe is just over 1mile up a steep hill from the pier. We meet guests for the Glebe Apartment and Hostel Group Bookings at the pier to transport luggage to the Glebe, but are not able to do so for individuals booking rooms in the hostel. If individual guests would prefer not to walk or have heavy luggage please contact the Eigg Taxi in advance of your arrival.
