The Glebe Barn, a charmingly converted 19th Century building, is situated beneath the majestic pitchstone ridge of “An Sgurr” and commands magnificent panoramic views across the harbour to the Scottish coastline beyond.Conveniently located towards the centre of the island, within 1 mile of the shop, café & restaurant, only 15 minutes from Kildonnan beach and 2-3miles from Laig Beach and Singing Sands, it provides an ideal base for exploring.

A large dining room/lounge with solid maple floor and central log fire provides a homely gathering space for cozy evenings in, and our new south facing sunroom is a great space for sunny breakfasts with panoramic views. The facilities include well equipped kitchen (double gas cooker, standing fridge freezer, fridge, microwave, kettle, blender, toaster etc), larder, drying room, laundry room with commercial sized washing machine/tumble drier, and a small laboratory.

The south facing garden has panoramic views of the pitchstone ridge “An Sgurr” and the Scottish west coast mountain ranges.Outdoor seating, a BBQ and fire pit area allow you to enjoy outdoor cooking to the cries of the lapwings and oyster catchers on the shore below. With no light pollution you can sit out at night under a canopy of stars with clear views of the Milky Way and even a chance to glimpse shimmers of the Northern Lights.

The variety of room sizes (1 twin, 2 triple rooms, an 8 bunk and a 6 bunk dormitory room) comfortably accommodates individual travellers, families or large groups of up to 22.All bedrooms are equipped with wash hand basis, shaver point and bedside wall lights. Beds are made up for your arrival and towels are available to hire.
