Eigg Adventures

Biking, archery and kayaking with Eigg Adventures. Hybrid bikes for trips to the north of the island and mountain bikes for off-road trails through the forestry or down to Grulin.Archery sessions for up to 8 people can be arranged with prior notice and four sit-on-top kayaks are available (two of which are tandem kayaks) for trips to visit the seals off Castle Island or Kildonnan Bay.
Selkie Explorers

Bespoke sea going adventures are available for small groups of up to 10 people on board with Selkie Explorers.Contact skipper Celia Bull to arrange sail training or trips around Eigg, the Small Isles and beyond.
MV Shearwater (Arisaig Marine)

The Shearwater timetable allows a few hours ashore on either Muck or Rum (alternate days). As Muck is closer you get more time ashore here, allowing enough time for a leisurely walk across the island where you get fantastic views of Rum, Eigg and the Cuillins of Skye.Sightings of dolphin, porpoise, whales and seabirds on your way are all part of the experience.

Come and try these gentle but powerful forms of exercise with island tutor Camille Dressler. Discover a new way of enjoying Eigg's nature whilst stretching, relaxing and getting healthy. Join Camille in her Saturday group practice in the Community hall, or book a one to one session on the beach or on the Glebe barn lawn.

Bespoke performances, story telling or ceilidh dance workshops available with island piper and highland dancer, Donna MacCulloch. A fun activity for all ages and valuable preparation for joining in with island ceilidhs!

All About Willow

Catherine & Pascall are experienced basket makers who live and work on their croft in the north of the island. They grow their willow organically and make our baskets from the harvest.Contact All About Willow to arrange a workshop during your stay on Eigg. Courses and taster sessions for individuals or groups of up to 8 can be tailored to your requirements and are open to all levels of experience, especially beginners.
Libby Galli Felt Artist

A half day (4hr) felting workshop with Libby Galli covers the essential needle felting and wet felting skills required to create a piece of felt artwork. The finished product can then be framed as a picture or made into a wall hanging or small cushion.Workshops are available for up to 6 people (6+ yrs) by prior arrangement with Libby

Eigg Organics

Eigg Organics provide half-day tours of the croft covering traditional crofting techniques, history of crofting, crofting today and how Eigg Organics fits within the ethos of crofting.Bespoke courses (for up to 5 people) on growing organic vegetables and fruit are also available. Everything you need to know from seed to plate.
Scottish Wildlife Trust

Weekly guided walks with Scottish Wildlife Trust ranger and volunteers.Don’t miss the opportunity to take a guided walk to discover Eigg’s diverse wildlife species and habitats. Around 130 bird species are recorded a year, half of which breed on the island so you shouldn’t return disappointed
Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust

Groups are invited to volunteer with the Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust to help improve the island’s natural environment.Essential conservation tasks include beach cleans, path maintenance, natural regeneration management etc.

Grulin & Howlin

Evidence of Eigg’s fascinating history is clearly visible in its landscape, with numerous archeological sites including Bronze Age huts, Iron Age duns, Early Christian Sites and Holy Wells, Viking Graves, Medieval Church Ruins, and Crofting Landscape Features.A walking guide available from the craft shop and interpretation panels at key sites help you explore the island’s colourful history.
Kildonnan Graveyard

An archaeological dig at Kildonnan Graveyard unearthed the remains of the Early Christian monastery founded c 600 AD, by St Donnan, Scotland’s only Christian martyr. Found out all about the dig and the story of the graveyard by reading our on site interpretation panel.Visit this beautiful part of the island which also features an 18th century watermill, Viking Graves and an Iron Age Dun at Rubha na Crannaig and the abandoned settlement of Am Braigh at the foot of Beinn Bhuidhe.
Cleadale Crofting Museum

Step into the past in ‘Croft No 6’, our restored croft house, to explore the way of life of an Eigg crofting family in the early 20th century. Eigg's museum of Crofting life is open at all times for self-guided visits, but you can also book a tour with on of our Eigg History Society volunteers. Donations welcome.
